DENAKOR HG 56 - corrosion inhibiting dispersion primer -
DENAKOR HG 56 is a one-component water based paint formulated on the bases acrylate dispersion. The paint contains further an appropriate combination of corrosion preventing pigments, fine fillers, dispergation, soaking, and biocidal agents, coalescents and other additives suitably modifying the properties of the coating composition. This coating composition has an excellent adherence especially to steel, aluminium, and galvanized metal sheet and can be applied also on a partial corroded surface. It contains no aromatic thinners and in comparison with classic paints it has minimum effects on the health and environment when being applied. The tools are cleaned by water only and the thinned residues of the composition are degradable biologically. The shows long lifetime outdoors and in environment with severe chemical burden.
Use: DENAKOR HG 56 is used as priming coat for all steel, galvanized and aluminium structures incl. roofings made of such materials. As top sealing coat the DENATOP dispersion enamel is used. Other types of top coatings have to be consulted with the manufacturer or experimentally tested.
Properties:
Density: 1,1 - 1,3 kg per liter
Weight solids: 45 - 53 %
pH 9 - 10
Volume solids: 35 - 40 %
The paint has excellent antirusting properties, great chemical resistance, very fast drying.
Great consistency with metal surfaces.
Surface preparation: The coat shall be applied onto a clean, dry, and degreased surface, old paints with bad adherence to the surface have to be removed. It is recommended to penetrate all strongly chalked paints with PRIMER B.
Paint aplication: The coat is applied by brush, lacquering roll, or by spraying in two layers in a time interval of 4 hours at least. The temperature must not drop below +5 °C during application and drying. At lower temperatures the paint does not produce a perfect film and both the quality and lifetime of the coating decrease.
Teoretical spreading rate: The spreading capacity is 5 - 7 m2 of 1 kg for one coat.
Tinge: The composition in the consistency as supplied is ready for direct application and should not be water thinner prior to application. It is supplied in white, grey, and redbrown shades, other shades have to be agreed upon with the manufacturer.
Packaging and storing: Packing in plastic or metal sheet packages of 0.8 - 200 kgs weight. The product shall be stored in its original packages under +5 to +25 °C at places protected against direct sun radiation and against sudden temperature fluctuations. The shelf time is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Safety and hygiene: DENAKOR HG 56 does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. It is recommended to treat the skin expected to come into contact with the paint with a suitable protective cream, protective aids should be used and the principles of personal hygiene adhered to. When larger areas of skin get stained they should be washed with soap and water, when eyes get affected they should be splashed out by a stream of clean water and in more serious cases a physician should be seen. When working indoors the working place has to be ventilated.
