MUDr. Heiek Franz [ Notable personality ]
(born November 3, 1851 in Šumperk, died May 15, 1930 in Šumperk, he is buried there), Generality doctor. After his retirement he led, in World War I, the reserve hospital operating in the then deaf-and-dumb institution (present-day basic school III). He lived in 9 Bahnhofstrasse (present-day 17. listopadu street). He was designated honorary citizen of the city of Šumperk on March 9, 1917.
